About Us

This website is the result of a personal and thorough examination of the Bible, with the desire to find out what the Scriptures actually teach — without adding anything or taking anything away. We try to be loyal to the text of the Bible and avoid our own interpretations, but rather allow the wording of the Bible to interpret itself.

Although we think it makes sense to search for the truth, we are at the same time aware of what Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 12:12: “There is no end to the making of many books, and it is exhausting for the body to spend much time examining them.”

However, we are not writing these articles to convince others, but only to present what we ourselves have discovered through our own personal studies. We are convinced that no one will be able to find the full truth before the 1,000-year Kingdom has ended.

It is our conviction that “loving one another” is the only thing we need to know in order to gain God’s approval (John 13:34,35, cf. Matthew 22:37-40). This would be in accordance with Solomon’s conclusion recorded in Ecclesiastes 12:13.

The Beroeans were praised because they “received the word with all goodwill and examined the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.” (Acts 17:11). These articles are written with the same attitude — a desire to examine everything in the light of the Bible.

That the website takes Jehovah’s Witnesses’ teachings as its starting point is not accidental. We are grateful for everything we have learned from Jehovah’s Witnesses. They were the ones who taught us an interest in the Bible, but it was also their own teachings that made us understand that all religious communities today (including Jehovah’s Witnesses) are in reality a codification of the personal convictions of one or a few individuals.

The truth does not lie in the religious communities, but the truth depends on how each individual practices what is stated in John 13:34,35.
